ABA Therapy

Our ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapists work directly with children (ages 3-6) who have an Autism Spectrum diagnosis. ABA therapists use a systematic and scientific approach to help those they serve to develop better social and life skills, and decrease unwanted behaviors.

Occupational T​herapy

Occupational therapists (OT) address fine motor concerns, feeding issues, sensory processing, and overall daily living tasks. This service is offered through the WV Birth to Three Program.  we also offer occupational therapy services for children 3 years of age or older through private insurance, if approved.

The Developmental Advantage is a Pediatric Outpatient Clinic located in Charleston, WV. We primarily focus on providing early intervention services. We are offering ABA for Children up to age 6 with Autism and other disabilities. Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy is available for children up to 10.  

 

The Developmental Advantage celebrates diversity and is committed to creating a welcoming environment for all. When completing intake paperwork, please let supervisory staff know of any needs, beliefs, or any other important information that we may need to take into account when creating programs and behavior interventions!

Developmental Specialist

Developmental specialists  address all 5 areas of a child's development (motor, cognitive/

thinking, communication, social-emotional, and adaptive/self-help areas).   This service is only offered through the West Virginia Birth to Three Program.

Speech-language pathologists

(SLP) address a child's receptive and expressive speech and feeding issues. An SLP may teach sign language, picture exchange communication (PECS), and train on augmentative communication devices.
